In 2009, the San Francisco Bay Area was one of the FBI’s top thirteen hotspots for child sex trafficking, and though statistics about amount of labor trafficking in the area is sparse, sources state that labor trafficking is more common, under-reported, and under-investigated. The Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign will begin with Awareness Workshops focused on labor trafficking and the sex trafficking of minors, followed by implementation of awareness and prevention programs within the parishes.
All are welcome to join us for the first Human Labor and Sex Trafficking of Minors Awareness Workshop. Please note that Human Trafficking is a sensitive subject and may not be suitable for all audiences.
